Extended Reality explorations

During my time at The Ayzenberg Group, I had the privilege of spearheading a dynamic team comprising talented artists, designers, and engineers known as "a.new reality." Our primary mission was to explore and leverage the cutting-edge potential of Extended Reality (XR) and provide valuable insights to both the agency and clientele.

We undertook various projects using ARKit, Spark AR, Snap AR, Microsoft HoloLens, Oculus, and Magic Leap (honored with an early developers grant). Additionally, we were accepted into the HoloLens Partner Academy, which was a six month program at Microsoft's Redmond Headquarters. These endeavors allowed us to push the boundaries of XR and showcase its possibilities to our clients.

One example is the GIF seen here, where we employed EyeJack to breathe life into the exceptional work of Kozyndan.

moonbloom

Moonbloom is a narrative driven experience inspired by traditional fables, combined with the unique storytelling power of AR. This interactive puzzle game was originally developed as an ARKit experience, and then ported to the Magic Leap.

We debuted the game at Spatial Reality: Artists Explore the Future of XR exhibit in October 2018.

Moonbloom + Microsoft Whiteboard

Microsoft heard about our work using its Whiteboard device to develop and facilitate our Moonbloom app. We were honored to be featured in a promotional video that highlighted the team and our behind-the-scenes work.

City of Hope

City of Hope is a private, non-profit clinical research center and hospital located in Duarte, CA, just outside of Los Angeles. In 2018, they asked a.new reality to assist their marketing efforts in communicating the future expansion planned over the next decade.

My proposal was to construct a scale model with an AR experience to clearly explain the institution’s history, present, and future plans.

This video documents me demoing the experience that is currently located in the Anthony F. Markel Family City Of Hope Museum.

AR SCAVENGER Hunt

In the spirit of team building, Ayzenberg hosted a scavenger hunt and bar crawl…augmented reality style!

Six teams consisting of over 70 people participated in a.Hunt, an ARKit powered scavenger hunt. Over the course of a few weeks, a.new reality developed an app that utilized image tags to record and track progress. A 3D map gave hints to locations around Old Town Pasadena that took players on a beer-fueled adventure.
