Justin Turner Volumetric Scan
At the time, Justin Turner was the LA Dodger’s celebrated Third Baseman. At Candy Digital, we wanted to test out volumetric scanning and he was game to help. He was gracious, humble, and a first class athlete who was able to take the minute of direction and nail it in the next take.
Ultimately, Candy Digital decided not to release this product for a variety of reasons unrelated to the creative vision.
By utilizing a network of interconnected sensors, volumetric scanning creates a digital representation of an object's external structure. The movie to the right displays the decimated wireframe.
